Emerging from the flames of the Finnish Black Metal underground, Warmoon Lord have truly made their presence known on a wider scale with their latest release, Sacrosanct Demonopathy!

Warmoon Lord
Album opener Warpoems & Tragedies has a nice selection of ominous soundscapes that develop nicely throughout, and its instrumental composition makes a grandeur introduction which compliments the furious and tyrannic nature of Invoking the Retribution Eidolon well. The balance of varying tones and tempos demonstrates early that there is certainly a dynamic shift of individuality rather than simply the other project of Old Sorcery.
There is unshakeable intensity that weaves through highlight track A Hungering Yoke and is the album’s best example of crisp & effervescent recording, the background atmospherics also add an enriching dynamic that throws back to the early 90’s, which is paired with the very present and Blackened delivery of Tartaros Offering.
Moving along with a sense of the cinematic is the encapsulating Uncreation’s Dragon, of which there is certainly a wider canvas of textures and emotions at play here. This then spirals into the chaotic with razor sharp His Enigmatic Ways with an interesting amalgamation between Thrash and NWOBHM.
Penultimate track Daemonic Supremacy Enthroned incorporates some varying guitar twists before unleashing another outpouring of technically brilliant terror, before concluding with the short yet no less captivating closer Torch of Magickal Arte again, the instrumental elements allow the band to end the narrative rich in character and complexity.
In Lord Vrăjitor’s own words, “compared to its predecessor’s ones of pride, conquering, war, tyranny, and ruling. Wide awake and dreaming is WARMOON LORD here!”
