Summoning – With Doom We Come

Summoning – With Doom We Come

Record Label: Napalm Records

Year: 2018

Rating: 7/10

Summoning need no introduction, so let’s cut to the chase! My favorite works are “Dol Guldur“, “Stronghold“, “Let Mortal Heroes…“. In these albums I think they achieved the best combination of BM with the epic feeling and melodies. Their next works, though not bad at all, never reached the level of their previous albums, because they emphasized more on melodies, choirs and epic feelings.

This album starts right there where “Old Mornings Dawn” stopped. Guitar sound is lighter, as it was in this album, vocal choirs and overwhelming keyboards have been presented also here in full. I can’t find any disadvantages in this work, but having heard these elements in the past, played by them and better, “With Doom…” didn’t fulfill its purpose. Not many songs have been marked in my mind, with the exception of “With Doom I Come“, “Herumor” and “Silvertine“.

Their fans have already purchased it; there is also a limited version with 2 bonus tracks. The others, buy at first “Dol Guldur“, “Stronghold“, “Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame” and then proceed and with the other works.
